"Preschool" and Co-op

We had a blast this afternoon at our new spring co-op.

Isabella headed to her first "preschool" classroom and I got to enjoy the whole time with her.

Isabella and Hannah enjoyed their class together. Isabella has been singing, "keep me as the apple of your eye..." all afternoon. I love it.

Our boys enjoy hanging with Nathaniel. I love that I have a picture of Jackson and Nathaniel together when they were just a few months old. This picture was taken on our way out the door. The boys had been in woodworking, plant science and art classes together. They had a wonderful afternoon.

Isabella got to make butter with her class. She also enjoyed some at dinner when we went to The Buttersburg Inn.

What a sweet day!

2012 Interviews

Happy New Year!

We did our second annual interviews this morning. Isabella was old enough to join the fun. It was sweet to hear her answers.

I look forward to comparing the answers as our little people grow.

I found the interview idea here.

Amazing Grace

I heard one of my favorite sermons ever, yesterday. And for it to have come moments before my nephew was baptized made it even more incredible. Years and years of praying are unfolding right before my eyes. Boy does our Lord "got this," whatever this is!!! Shame on me for ever doubting His amazing providence.

D baptizing Nicky as he publicly proclaims His faith in Jesus.

This is one of the sweetest days ever.
I will post the link when the sermon is up on Vimeo. I think it is well worth your time.

Matthew 1:1-17
"The Grace of the King"
Pastor: Tim Webster

What the genealogy of Jesus graciously teaches us...
God is faithful to His promises.
God is sovereign no matter our circumstances.

Winter Snow

Remembering that He came like a winter snow...quite, soft and slow. Much different than many of us may have expected. He could have swept in like a tidal wave, a roaring flood or a rushing wind. Nope. A still small voice.

Isaiah 55:8
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.

Psalm 108:4
For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Psalm 77:13
Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God?

S E V E N

Unreal.

Our baby boy is seven. S E V E N .

Jackson is a gift to our family. We enjoy spending our days together. We are excited to kick-off our school year. Our son is creative, thoughtful, athletic, a leader and growing like a weed.

I wish I had more time to share the many ways that he blesses our family.

Just know that we love you, Jackson Mark, more than words can express. The past seven years have been brighter because you are in them.

Love,
Mommy & Daddy

Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are gorgeous. They make my heart smile.

I have received many hydrangeas as gifts and too often I have a hard time keeping them alive.

The sweet family that took care of our home while we were gone has shared many blessings with us. Our garden plants have grown like weeds because our friends primed the land for us. Hydrangeas are blooming on either side of the house because our friends planted two bushes. I have been all smiles.

Following our move, I transplanted two hydrangeas that I received at Isabella's baby shower. They are doing great. I am still waiting for them to bloom this season.

Mark surprised me with two new hydrangea plants for our front yard since we tore out the overgrown bushes that were there. These are thriving and have shown regrowth.

A friend even dropped a gorgeous blue hydrangea by when we arrived home. This one has already started re-blooming {more smiles}.

As I watch each new bloom take its shape I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 that says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!";

Bring on the new,
